The 2026-27 season explores themes of community and trauma, from an Augusto Boal forum workshop piece devised by the students to Ntozake Shange's lyrical choreopoem. The range of history and styles of work lent itself nicely to a collage approach while staying within Loyola brand standards.
The collage approach also worked well for the MainStage dance poster. Legacy in Motion honors retiring faculty Sandra Kauffman who founded the dance program at Loyola. The collage features images from pieces that were dear to her heart and scans of her working notebooks.
