2023-24 PERFORMANCES
Poster design, especially for theatre, remains one of my favorite projects. This season the plays ranged from a Shakespearean comedy to a very modern look at racism and the white gaze. The posters for As You Like It and Fairview were honored as honorable mentions in the Graphic Juried Poster Competition.
I was pleased to adapt the graphic for Fairview into an interstitial animation that was used as a projection during intermission so the audience would not forget that the gaze was always watching and judging.
The MainStage dance poster wants to live in the style of a particular MainStage season but, by necessity, will also be radically different. They also want to showcase the stunning photography and gracefulness and energy of form. Excavating Hope was no different.
